For Michael, it’s all about the conversation.

Michael has been a Registered Psychologist for 22 years. During that time, he has worked across the psychology spectrum: From working in community mental health, to defence, to workers compensation, Michael has in-depth experience working with individuals and families of all ages, across multiple demographic backgrounds.

He draws on his lengthy experience to engage with his clients in a conversational, relaxed manner that is respectful and empathic. He is committed to making sure his clients feel welcomed, validated and listened to, so that he can assist them with finding the best way forward.

Michael sees people from all backgrounds and faiths, from age 10 and up. His professional interests lie in adolescent and young adult psychology, hoping to foster greater mental health literacy and understanding in younger generations, so that they have the best tools and strategies to face life with resilience and courage.

He engages with all his clients with kindness and empathy and has experience working with a great number of issues, including trauma and PTSD, addiction, grief and loss, personality disorders, anxiety and depression.

Michael’s approach to therapy is informal and conversational in nature, but it is also deeply founded on evidence-based best practice, using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. Michael tailors his approach to every client’s individual needs, and he is able to develop a specific strategy and approach for every person’s unique therapeutic journey.
