Your Questions, Answered.

Do I need a referral for my child?

No referral is needed to book. If you'd like to claim a Medicare rebate, you'll need a referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. For children under 13, the GP can also create a plan under the Better Access initiative.

How many Medicare sessions can my child get?

Medicare currently rebates up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year under the Better Access program. Your GP usually refers in blocks of 6, then reviews and may provide another 4.

What about NDIS?

We accept NDIS participants. If your child has an NDIS plan that includes psychology or capacity building, we can work within your plan. Our team can help navigate the process.

What age children do you see?

We see children from age 4 through to 17, as well as young adults. Our psychologists adapt their approach based on your child's age and developmental stage - from play-based therapy for younger children to more structured approaches for teens.

How do you match my child with a psychologist?

We ask about your child's needs, what's been happening, and what kind of person your child responds best to. With a large team, we have more options - which means a better chance of getting the fit right from the first session.
