Anela enjoys working with children and their families using a person-centred approach with warmth and authenticity as the foundation. She is passionate about helping people to explore different perspectives and to find workable solutions. She incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, as well as creative approaches where appropriate (including art and play therapy).

She has extensive experience in working with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder in order to expand their choice and control in life, increase daily living, social and emotional skills, as well as provide training to families and service providers on strengthening relationships with individuals who have a diagnosis of autism or intellectual disability.

Anela’s background also includes working in a range of school settings to support students in achieving cognitive, emotional, social and physical well-being. She provides evdience-based counselling and psychological assessment for children and adolescents to complement and enhance the work of teachers to strengthen student learning and wellbeing outcomes.”
