Cara has a passion for helping people overcome life’s challenges and achieve their goals. Working with each unique ‘whole person’, Cara draws from evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness, in a tailored approach to best fit the person’s needs. She approaches therapy as a collaboration with each individual, working towards their goals together by empowering them to manage stress and improve health and wellbeing with psychological strategies they can use throughout life.
Her areas of interest include anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), attachment and trauma, late-diagnosed ADHD and autism, and grief and life transitions. Cara also has experience working collaboratively with NDIS clients in the disability sector, having previously supported people with complex needs.
Cara adheres to core principles of compassion, respect and dignity, and brings her experience from her previous working life in the creative sector to her passion for understanding and supporting people to reach their potential.
