Phil is an experienced clinical psychologist with a passionfor deep emotional work and helping clients with long-term emotional andbehavioural difficulties. His core values are honesty and authenticity, wherehe aims to bring a human element to his practice and establish strong long-termrelationships with clients to help them grow and face their challenges with confidence. He provides client-focused therapy that meets people where they arein their mental health journey and strongly believes in providing a safe andnon-judgemental space for people to unpack and understand their difficulties.
He has previously worked in private practice and communitysettings particularly with young people and their families and is experiencedin a wide range of presentations including depression and anxiety,obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma presentations, complicated grief, andpersonality disorders. Prior to his work with clients he also completed his PhDin behavioural neuroscience, working to better understand the mechanisms thatdrive problem gambling and addiction. He is passionate about evidence-basedtreatment and research, and uses up-to-date information to guide his work withclients.
