Neuroaffirming NDIS Therapy
That Sees
You.
Let's be honest: finding the right support can feel overwhelming. Between navigating NDIS requirements and searching for someone who truly understands you, it's exhausting. That's why we've created something different at Unbound Minds – a space that feels less like a clinical appointment and more like catching up with someone who genuinely cares about your story.

We're passionately neuroaffirming, which means we don't see autism, ADHD, or any neurological difference as something to fix. Instead, we see the incredible strengths that come with thinking differently. Our psychologists blend real warmth with solid science - yes, we use evidence-based approaches, but we shape them around who you are, not who a textbook says you should be.

Think of us as your teammates, not just your therapists. We're here to celebrate the small wins, problem-solve the tricky bits, and help you build genuine confidence in your own abilities. Whether you're working on daily living skills, strengthening relationships, or pursuing bigger dreams, we'll walk alongside you with both professional expertise and real human understanding.
It Shouldn't Be This Hard
To Find The Right Support.
You've got your NDIS funding sorted, but now what? Endless waitlists. Service agreements that read like legal documents. And that sinking feeling when yet another therapist just doesn't get it – doesn't get you, doesn't get autism or ADHD, doesn't understand that you're not broken and don't need fixing.

Maybe you've sat through sessions feeling more like a diagnosis than a person. Or you're still searching, worried about wasting precious funding on support that doesn't actually support you.

The worst part? Having to mask in spaces that are supposed to be safe. Being treated like your brain is a problem to solve rather than a different way of experiencing the world.

There's a better way – and we've built it. We've stripped away everything that makes therapy feel hard and kept everything that makes it work.

Here's what different looks like:
Finding Your Person.
Our diverse team doesn't just assign you to whoever's free. We take time to understand what matters to you, then match you with a psychologist who genuinely clicks with your personality and gets your world.
Celebrating How Your Brain Works.
We're proudly neuroaffirming. We understand masking, sensory overwhelm and burnout. And we know your unique way of experiencing the world isn't something to fix – it's something to work with.
Science Meets Humanity.
We use evidence-based approaches (because you deserve what actually works). But we deliver them with genuine warmth and flexibility. No rigid protocols – just real support shaped around your life.
Progress That Means Something To You.
Forget generic goals and tick-box exercises. We work on what matters in your actual life – managing sensory overwhelm at work, building authentic relationships, or just feeling okay being yourself.
No More Paperwork Headaches.
We handle all the NDIS admin – service agreements, progress reports, the lot. We've got years of experience with the behind-the-scenes stuff, so you can focus on what really matters – your wellbeing.
Your Funding, Decoded.
Capacity Building budgets shouldn't need a translator. We'll explain exactly how your psychology hours work and help you make the most of every dollar, ensuring your plan works as hard as you do.

Your Questions, Answered.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and most people want to know what to expect before they book. We’ve put together answers to the questions we hear most often at our Kingswood clinic - from how referrals and Medicare work, to what happens in the first session and how we match you with the right psychologist.

What exactly is a "Neuroaffirming Approach"?

A neuroaffirming approach means we recognie and respect neurological difference as Autism s natural variations of the human brain, rather than "disorders" that need to be fixed. We do not focus on teaching compliance or forcing you to mask who you are. Instead, we focus on understanding your unique strengths, supporting your sensory needs, navigating burnout, and helping you build a fulfilling life as your authentic self.

What are your current wait times for NDIS clients?

We understand that waiting for support is frustrating. Wait times vary depending on the specific service and your preferred appointment times. However, because Unbound Minds has a large and diverse team across our locations, we can often match you with a suitable psychologist much faster than smaller practices. Please contact our intake team for the most up-to-date availability.

What if I don’t feel a connection with the psychologist I’m matched with?

This is crucial. We strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship (the "fit") is the most important factor in successful therapy. Our specialised intake team works hard to make the best initial match based on your goals and needs. However, if you feel the connection isn't right after the first few sessions, we encourage you to let us know. There is no judgment; we will prioritise rematching you with another clinician on our team to ensure you feel completely comfortable and understood.

Are you a registered NDIS provider?

Yes, we are proud to be a registered NDIS provider.

For us, this is more than just a registration; it’s a reflection of our deep commitment to providing you with the highest standards of safety, quality, and care.Becoming a registered provider involves a rigorous and independent audit process with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. This means we have been thoroughly assessed to ensure we meet the strict NDIS Practice Standards.

When you choose to work with us, you are choosing a psychology service that is held accountable to a national standard of excellence. It's a guarantee that we are not only dedicated to our clients' wellbeing but have the proven policies and procedures to back it up.

What kind of support can your psychologists provide?

In the warm and safe space our psychologists provide, we guide you through a wide range of areas. We help you develop crucial emotional regulation skills, build healthy coping strategies for anxiety and stress, and improve your social skills and relationships.

We work with you to manage behaviour by understanding its function, provide a secure environment for working through trauma, and focus on building your self-esteem and confidence. Recognising that support networks are vital, we also extend our support to families and carers. We tailor every session to you, because your journey and your goals are unique.
