Confidentiality & trust

What you share with your psychologist stays between you, unless there’s a legal or ethical reason that requires disclosure.

In this guide

The short version

  • Confidentiality is the foundation of good therapy and psychological safety.
  • We’ll always talk to you openly about the exceptions from the very beginning.
  • If you have questions about how your information is used, just ask.

What stays between you

We take confidentiality seriously. It’s the foundation of good therapy and psychological safety. What you share with your psychologist stays between you, unless there’s a legal or ethical reason that requires disclosure (like serious risk of harm). We’ll always talk to you openly about this from the very beginning.

How your information is protected

Our team operates under AHPRA’s code of conduct, which means there are strong protections in place to safeguard your information. If you ever have questions or feel unsure about how your personal information is used, just ask. We’re always happy to walk you through it.

Trust is earned

We also know that trust is about more than just policies. It’s built session by session, through warmth, safety, reliability, and respect.

We don’t take your trust for granted. We earn it.
