Understanding Grief.
Grief often comes in waves and can look different for each person. Common experiences may include:
- Intense sadness, emptiness or longing
- Anger, guilt or regret about the past
- Numbness or difficulty feeling connected
- Changes in appetite, energy or sleep
- Withdrawing from friends, work or activities
- Struggling to adjust to life after the loss
Grief isn’t something to “get over.” It’s a process of learning to live alongside loss while finding meaning and new ways forward. Therapy provides space to process feelings safely and develop strategies for coping.
